On this fully guided tour you will zip along the new bike path by the Bay to Fort Point. Then, use the throttle on your eco-friendly electric bike and enjoy the effortless ascent to the Bridge.

Take in the panoramic views of the City and the Bay as you bike over the Golden Gate Bridge! Then it is a fun downhill ride into Sausalito where you can enjoy food, shops, and sunshine before heading back to San Francisco on the ferry boat. These electric bikes will make your ride to Sausalito fun, easy, and eco-friendly. A tour experience of a lifetime.

Electric Bike Tour Details

Overview: Our knowledgeable guides will share the diverse history of the area with you as you pedal and cruise along the scenic Bay Trail. Ages 16 and up are welcome.

Rates: $70.00 per person. $60 for the tour plus $10 for the return ferry. Advance reservations are required.

Departure Dates and Times: 10:00 AM Daily. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Closed January 1st, Thanksgiving Day, December 25th, and December 31st.

Tour Length: Tours are 3.5 - 4 hours including ferry ride. Weekend Ferry departure time is 20 minutes later than Weekday Schedule.

Electric Bike Tour Sights and Stops

Your guided bike tour starts in Fisherman's Wharf near Aquatic Park. Route features spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay while you visit and explore:

Fort Mason
Marina Green
Bay Trail along Crissy Field
A quick stop at the Warming Hut bookstore/cafe for a break
Another stop at Fort Point.
1.7 miles of biking excitement as you cross over the bridge. You will have to pedal on the Bridge.
A Stop at Vista Point to look back at the San Francisco skyline
Downhill into Sausalito. Depending on ferry schedule, 30-45 minutes in Sausalito.
Return to Pier 41 on the 35 minute Blue and Gold Fleet Ferry trip with guide.
A short ride through Wharf to starting location.

Rider Requirements and Route Info

The San Francisco Electric Bike Tour has only a few restrictions:

Ages 16 and up. Minimum weight 85 lbs (39 kg). The bikes weigh 70 lbs (32 kg)
All riders will be required to pedal on the Golden Gate Bridge without using the power assist.
Guests under 18 will be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Helmets are required and are provided.
No flip-flops, open-toe sandals, or high heels.
Guests must sign a liability waiver.
Guests must complete rider training.
Guests must respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes, and cars for safe ride.
A driver license is not required to ride an electric bike.
Any damages to bike or property are the responsibility of the rider.
No pregnant guests due to fall risk.

Child Seats / Trailers Are Not Available

No children's seats, children's trailers, or children's versions of bike are available. Tour is for ages 16 and up only.

Important: Guest will be pedaling!

Bike weighs 70 lbs (32 kg) and will need to be pedaled up hills on some parts of the route. All guests will be required to pedal across the Golden Gate Bridge 1.7 miles (2.73 km) without using the power assist. Bikes are power assisted.

Changes to a Reservation and Cancellation and No Show Policy: Reservations require a full advance payment via Credit Card. Deposits are fully refundable if the reservation is canceled 3 days -72 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour. No Shows are charged in full. The deposit WILL NOT be refunded for any reason within 72 hours of your scheduled tour.
