For visitors to San Francisco, a fun way to see the city is to take one of our guided tours this weekend. We offer two daily guided tours – 10am and 1pm. Our fun and knowledgeable tour guides will lead you through the Presidio along the waterfront, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into sunny Sausalito. Along the way, you will stop and hear about the city’s rich history and take advantage of the many fantastic photo spots... so get ready for the selfie of a lifetime! Plus, on Monday, July 4th there are events happening all day long in Sausalito – including a parade, live music and BBQs. You can lock up your bike and take advantage of everything this charming town has to offer for Independence Day!

For locals looking to take advantage of all the fun activities this weekend – without the traffic and parking hassles – renting one of our bikes is the way to go! Between the Fillmore Street Jazz Festival to the most amazing fireworks show in the country, this weekend has lots of great things in store.  Just pop into one of our locations and show us your patriotic spirit and we’ll get you hooked up with a local discount of 10% off.

For New York City visitors, there are some great events to visit via bicycle as well! Stop by our location at Pier 17 at South Street Seaport or at Pier 84 in Hudson River Park to get rolling on some great bikes. Aside from the attractions like Central Park and the Brooklyn Bridge you can visit all year, there are some special events for the holiday weekend you can bike to! For example, Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is celebrating its 100 year anniversary. This event, held on Coney Island on July 4th, is one of the most unique “sporting” competitions in the world. If you’re in New York City this weekend, be sure to check out this remarkable event.

If you’re looking for a more traditional type of sporting event, the New York Mets are in town, so head out and enjoy a day at the ballpark. For more artsy activities, music and dance festivals abound this weekend! From the Lincoln Center to Central Park, just choose your music genre and put on your dancing shoes! Our friendly staff will show you the most bike-friendly route to reach your destination, whatever it may be.

For New York locals trying to avoid the inevitable gridlock of holiday weekend traffic – relief is in sight! Hop on the free Governors Island ferry, and within 5 minutes you’ll be transported to a car-free paradise. Our Governors Island bike rental location awaits you, along with miles of bike paths and a recently renovated island! We have tandems and 4-wheeled surreys, too, so pack a picnic and bring the entire family for a day of pedaling paradise.

Whatever you do – have a happy and safe 4th of July!
