When I see an adult on a bicycle, I do not despair for the future of the human race. ~H.G. Wells
According to research, cycling is one of the few low impact exercises that boasts ALL of the following benefits:
  • Increased cardiovascular fitness
  • Increased flexibility and muscle strength
  • Improved joint mobility
  • Decreased body fat
  • Prevention and management of diseases
Additionally, riding a bike is a great family activity. Even in the large metropolitan areas of New York and San Francisco, there are plenty of car-free bike lanes and paths to explore. Both the Golden Gate Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge have completely separate lanes for bikers to use, not to mention parks and car-free areas on the other side of the bridges.
And if those aren’t good enough reasons to hop on a bike this weekend, consider this: when is the last time you saw someone on a bike who didn’t have a smile on their face?
Now, get on your bikes and ride!

We all know how important it is to stay active, but not everyone knows that cycling is one of the best ways to do this. Riding a bike is one of the easiest ways to get into shape, and by far one of those most fun ways!
