Weekend Bike Fun in San Francisco

Posted on 12/02/2016

The 11th Annual Supermarket Street Sweep bike race is this Saturday, December 3. Part bike ride and part food drive, participants will cycle to grocery stores around town and then bring donations to the SF-Marin Food Bank. The after-party features some sweet prizes too! You can also view their Facebook event page here. [Pictured is participant Bridget May, four time Women's Cargo champion, at the 2011 event. Photo from Supermarket Street Sweep]

For another fun Saturday option, bike the Golden Gate Bridge to the beautiful town of Tiburon and enjoy their all-day holiday festival! With everything from a craft sale and wagon rides to a gingerbread house decoration contest and the town's tree-lighting celebration, you'll find plenty of family-friendly activities to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Then, take your bike on the ferry boat and enjoy the relaxing cruise back to San Francisco.

On Sunday, December 4th you can join the Gals with Gears on their own group ride to Tiburon! The Gals are San Francisco Bicycle Coalition (SFBC) members who lead female-focused bike rides for all levels of riders. On Sunday evening, the SFBC is hosting its annual Winterfest member party and art auction. Get more details and buy your Winterfest tickets here, where you can also join the Coalition or renew if your SFBC membership has lapsed.

Of course we have wheels if you need 'em for any of these rides! Book online now to get your 20% discount!

There are TONS of fun things to do on your bike this weekend!
