Biking: the Best Pandemic Friendly Outdoor Activity

Is the shelter-in-place bringing you down? Finding fun, safe activities can be challenging during these strange days. However, fear not! You can still Bike the Bridge, even during a global pandemic.

The City of San Francisco put out guidance on recommended activities during the shelter in place order. Bicycling was on the top of the list and we have not stopped riding since we read that!

We all know by now that social distancing and wearing a face mask are two of the best ways to slow the spread of COVID-19 and doing those two easy precautions is so simple to do on a bicycle. We follow strict social distancing procedures, and all our rental bikes are sanitized to keep you safe!

The Fall weather and uncrowded bike paths are the perfect excuses to get on a bike right now. Cooler, crisper air (especially now that most of the smoke has cleared) and miles of car-free bike paths make perfect conditions to take the best bike ride in the world.

Our favorite ride starts at Aquatic Park and follows the bay through the Presidio National Park and over the Golden Gate Bridge. We like to go light on the brakes all the way down into Sausalito where a fried chicken sandwich and a house-made beer go down easily on the waterfront deck at Joinery Beerhall and Rotisserie.
