Angel Island State Park - the perfect family biking destination with no public vehicle access! After taking the Golden Gate ferry out to Angel Island, you’ll start your ride at Ayala Cove and ride the five mile Perimeter Road encircling the island. Enjoy panoramic views of the bay and its uniquely San Francisco skyline while visiting several historic buildings, including the recently renovated Immigration Station that personifies the island’s rich history. The fun continues for more than 13 miles of foot trails and fire roads circling the island, culminating at the 788-foot high summit of Mt. Livermore. Angel Island offers several beautiful areas for picnics as well a snack bar near the ferry dock. For a truly special experience, camp out on the island and watch the sun rise over the East Bay the following morning!
