The Best Bike Routes to Visit Golden Gate Park

From Fisherman’s Wharf, cruise along the car-free National Park bike path on a mostly flat ride through Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, the Marina, and Presidio National Park to the Golden Gate Bridge. From there, follow coastal Lincoln Blvd around Land’s End, past the Legion of Honor and Seal Rocks before hitting Ocean Beach for stunning views of the Pacific!

From Union Square, take bike-friendly Market Street over to “The Wiggle,” a flat bike route to Golden Gate Park that is very popular with local cyclists. On the way, you’ll pass Alamo Square where you can check out the historic Victorian “Painted Ladies” houses, then detour over to the Haight-Ashbury district to say hello to the hippies!

Cruise through the bike-friendly Golden Gate Park and take in the sights and sounds of one of San Francisco’s greatest treasures. World-class museums, playgrounds, lakes, picnicking spots and trails make this a destination the whole family will truly enjoy! Bike out to Ocean Beach for beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and Seal Rocks, and make a pit stop at the Bison Paddock on your way back!

Pick up your bicycle at our Fisherman's Wharf or Union Square store, and go bike San Francisco like a local.
